It's not like MsBurb to disappear. Many people would like that, but I'm like a bad penny slathered in Ebola...I might hide inside a monkey for a wee while but, like Jack said, well, kind of, Here's MsBurb! First, my apologies... I went AWOL on both the 2nd Official Tate-LaBianca Murders Blog (aka TLB2) and the Buck & Buntline Inn (aka B3) , as for the last number of years I decided to try my hand at longer works, and like chewing gum and walking - and I have no idea how people do that! - I left writing short articles to dive deep and long into novels. In that time, I've written three books... No More Blood - on the last three hours of Truman Capote's life - available right now as an ebook at Amazon. No More Blood, being such a research heavy topic, and my first stab at a long work, took me close to two years to finish; although, Truman had been talking in my ear since '07, I just didn't think I had it in me then to attempt...

No, TLB2 isn’t at an end… Just, tonight, well, the wee hours of today, actually, is the 3rd Anniversary of the 2nd Official Tate-LaBianca Murders Blog… And instead of being in a party-hat mood, I’m maudlin… I kinda feel like Frank did, all those years ago…you feel like that if you're the type to have lived on the edge, flown too close to the sun, witnessed the bright light and feel for some unknown reason the light dimming… Don’t get me wrong… There is no reason, all is well, just tonight, I feel like someone sitting on a bar stool, all alone, close to closing time, the barman, the pianist wishing to God I’d go home…but I just have to order one more…for the road…and maybe spill the beans as to why… When I started TLB2, it was just a way of “spilling the beans” on any topic of interest concerning those crimes, beyond just the obvious daily sound bites and rather mindless drivel that other like-minded blogs were spewing …a way of digging deeper into each aspect concerning t...

To all of our readers, supporters, and dare I add, our vehement ENEMIES, we at TLB2 want to thank you all for having passion for us and what we do, our blog Growing Pains and all, whether it’s disgust or adoration, we really don’t care…we LIVE for both, really! This, you might say, is only the Manson Tip of the Family Iceberg for we have lots in store for you this coming year and for many years to come, that is, if the TLB2 Authors don’t die of scorosis of the liver first! As you might have noticed, we added a Suggestion Box, and yes, you can write down that we are ugly and our Mothers dress us funny, we don’t mind, heck, what’s a Suggestion Box if it doesn’t contain mean graffiti every once in a while?! I just don’t get some people lately, really I don’t. And NOBODY, but nobody can appreciate the need to have humorous respite from this horrific subject matter now and then, as if to do so would be as heinous as the acts themselves. What am I ranting about now, you ask? Well, it’s just this; Why do some online bloggers have such hatred for Debra Tate? Why do some online bloggers have such hatred for Roman Polanski? Why do some online bloggers have such blind loyalty to Charles Manson, yet can’t see one redeeming feature in any of the Hinman/Tate-LaBianca killers? Why do some online bloggers see only goodness and light in born-again Susan Atkins, blithely forgetting her less than Christian acts forty years ago? And to show her likeness in anything but a positive realm now is as blasphemous as her and that Buck knife of hers years ago? Why am I getting hate mail because I threw a 2 minute video blurb on TLB2 showing The View’s Joy Behar making  a “funny” on Manson? Why h...

Due in part to the great reporting done on Pat’s “crono” by the CharlieManson.com website, I was able to digest almost line-by-line, the various psych evaluations done on Ms. Krenwinkel over the years, to see if a) she did suffer from some psychological disorder; b) if this disorder was only fuelled by the excess use of drugs, especially hallucinogens; and c) if, over time, any disorder was i) in remission or ii) reversed altogether after years of drug-free living and psychotherapy. A tall order, I must admit. But “Katie”, although the most devoted to the bloody deeds of her guru, Charlie, has always seemed the odd-man-out, in my opinion, when it came to The Family members. She never seemed as blood-thirsty as Sadie and Tex, yet her actions on the nights of August 9 & 10th, 1969, spoke of an enraged demon inside her soul that never really manifested itself on the outside.
