  Over time, a great deal of time, years in fact, any delver into the behaviour of psychopaths - their pattern - sadly becomes abundantly apparent. It’s almost as if, just like crocodiles in the Animal Kingdom, human predators continue to spawn, one after the other, like their cold-blooded amphibious cousins, to continue to give birth, multiply, taking the place of the one before it, to crawl upon the earth and wreak deadly havoc if anyone gets in their way. Such has been the case recently, in my estimation, of two women, both very much psychopathic, and to me, the twins of Susan Atkins   - Casey Anthony and Jodi Arias. The the visual appearance, the personality, the behaviour, the demeanour, the aura even, makes this trio as if punched out of the same predatory cookie cutter…a scary thought, to be sure, but then again, all crocodiles look and act alike too, don’t think? As of this publishing, there was no information given as to whether or not her husband/lawyer, James Whitehouse was with her when she passed, nor any details on the transfer of her corpse or burial details. No one has asked me what I meant by, “Thank God…Now I Can Breathe”, but just because I haven’t received questions doesn’t mean they’re not hanging out there, unanswered, as heavy and dank as L.A.s coastal haze… It’s NOT because I think she, or any of the other Manson Family killers would kill again. "Sadie" & Susan This is my last installment on this 1978 Parole Hearing of Susan Atkins but undoubtedly NOT the last time I endeavour to uncover the holes in Ms. Atkins "story" of the Manson murders. Despite the heinous nature of these crimes, one would think it would have been prudent to fess-up to the whole truth regarding her actions instead of constantly reshaping her story to better fit what she thought was a way of being granted parole. I know if I'd been a parole board member, the mere fact that her and her cohorts ever-changing sequence of events in the Hinman , Tate- LaBianca , and Shea murders would have been enough for me to keep their cell doors permanently locked. And from what I can tell, these half-wit murderers never figured that out... It has been brought to my attention that I may have misspoken in my last edition of the Sadie Enigma, implying that Deane Moorehouse lived in the Main house at Cielo when in fact, he had lived in the guesthouse. This is no way changes my belief that Sadie was lying when she said she had never been to the Cielo property before, so my conclusion stands. And in my last post, "The Proof Is In The 'Putting", a comment was made that I left out discussing the Blood Map - I did NOT leave it out by accident - I left it out ON PURPOSE because it is my opinion that Granado may have mis -typed some of the blood spots at Cielo and therefore, I believe, that blood map is moot in terms of evidence gathering. On Page 62, Atkins states, "I know in my heart when I was given the death penalty...I know that is what I deserved. Anything given to me beyond a life sentence in here or short of that, to me is Divine mercy. The fact that I'm alive today is mercy, when I had no mercy for anybody and I'm being shown mercy." Well, then, that begs the question, that if Susan REALLY means what she's saying, why, oh why, does she monopolize the Parole Board's time, using countless reams of paper in official documentation of each of her hearings, and force surviving family members to relive their losses every time she gets a chance? Honestly, I'm just not sure which is worse, the initial killings of her victims, or the endless barrage of hearings, the families never able to live past the nights of August 9th and 10th, 1969. On page 37, Atkins states, "...And he and I got in a fight and all I remember is swinging with my arms and I had a knife in my hand. And I was swinging and I know I stabbed him . I don't know where I stabbed him." Will the real Sadie Mae Glutz please stand up! OMG ! In recent interviews, hearings, and in her latest book, Susan now "swears" she stabbed no one; that after she lost her knife, she just "froze" - is her word. The cop's daughter in me is screaming that Golden Rule...the Initial Statement is always the most accurate! A wholly dissimilar statement was made by Susan in the Grand Jury testimony in '69 and here in her '78 parole hearing regarding her admission to stabbing Voytek . She certainly DID stab Voytek ; there is NO denying that. What still lingers are the questions, WHEN did she stab Voytek ? and WITH WHAT? as forensic tests done on HER LOST Buck knife by the LAPD lab found no traces of blood. Soooo ...

I know, you're wondering why I've decided to ruminate about the testimony of one parole hearing, given by one killer over 31 years ago. Well, it's been my experience that if you want to get at the truth in anything, you have to peel back the layers of the past, as time has a way of blurring the lines between what was fact and what was fiction. And, of all the hearings, of all the Manson Family killers, this one sticks out as a clear reflection of a woman, whose actions and choices, and their after-affects, are still reverberating, even today.
